Cocktail
Method
Cocktail
Add ice
Fill the chilled mug about two-thirds full with fresh ice cubes or crushed ice, depending on preference.
Build the drink
Pour 2 oz Irish whiskey over the ice, then add 0.5 oz freshly squeezed lime juice.
Top with ginger beer
Slowly pour about 4 oz chilled ginger beer into the mug to top the drink, leaving a bit of room to stir. Adjust ginger beer quantity to taste if you prefer stronger or lighter.
Stir gently
Use a bar spoon (or a long spoon) to gently stir the cocktail 3–4 times to combine the whiskey, lime juice, and ginger beer without losing too much carbonation.
Garnish and serve
Garnish with a lime wedge or wheel on the rim and optionally a mint sprig. Serve immediately with a short straw if desired.
