Whiskey & Spirit
Optional Mixers & Garnish
Method
Serve Neat (Traditional Tasting)
Prepare glass
Select a tulip glass, Glencairn, or a small rocks glass warmed in your hands briefly to slightly raise the whiskey's temperature.
Pour whiskey
Measure and pour 2 oz Bushmills Original Irish Whiskey into the glass.
Optional water
If desired, add 1 tsp fresh filtered water to the whiskey to open aromas and flavors. Taste before adding more — small drops can significantly change the profile.
Serve On The Rocks (Chilled)
Chill glass and ice
If preferred on the rocks, place 3 large ice cubes into a rocks glass.
Pour whiskey over ice
Measure and pour 2 oz Bushmills Original over the ice cubes in the glass.
Optional splash of water
Add a small splash (start with 1 tsp) of fresh water if you prefer a slightly diluted, chill-softened profile. Stir gently once with a bar spoon.
Garnish (optional)
Twist a citrus peel over the drink to release aromatic oils, rub the peel around the rim, and drop it into the glass.
Serve
Serve immediately and sip slowly to appreciate the balance of malt, vanilla, and subtle fruit notes.
