Aperol Spritz

Method

Aperol Spritz

1

Chill glass and ingredients

If possible, chill your wine and Aperol ahead of time. Fill a large wine glass with ice cubes to chill the glass for 10–30 seconds, then discard some or leave the ice in the glass per preference.

2

Build the drink

Add ice to the prepared wine glass until it's about three-quarters full. Pour in 3 oz Aperol first (this helps integrate flavors without excessive fizz).

3

Add sparkling wine

Slowly pour 2 oz chilled Prosecco into the glass at an angle to preserve bubbles and avoid overflow.

4

Top with soda

Add 1 oz soda water gently on top to lift and brighten the drink. Give the drink one gentle stir (1–2 turns) with a bar spoon to combine — avoiding vigorous stirring to keep carbonation.

5

Garnish and serve

Place an orange wheel on the rim or float it in the glass. Serve immediately while sparkling.
