Preparation
- 1
Choose flavor
Select one primary fruit option: wild berry, mango, strawberry, strawberry-banana (use strawberries + 1/2 banana), or peach. Measure 1 cup of the chosen fruit (and 1/2 banana if making strawberry-banana). If fruit is fresh, wash and hull/slice as needed. If using frozen fruit, no need for ice unless extra chill is desired.
- 2
Prepare liquids and optional brighteners
Measure 1 cup plain yogurt and 1/2 cup milk (or milk alternative). For mango or peach you may substitute 1/4 cup orange juice for up to half of the milk for a brighter flavor. For berry-based smoothies, have 1 tsp fresh lemon juice ready if using.
Blending
- 3
Add ingredients to blender
Place the measured fruit into the blender first. Add the yogurt, then the milk (or milk + orange juice), then optional sweetener (1 tsp honey or maple syrup) and any add-ins (1 tsp chia or ground flax). If using fresh fruit, add 4 ice cubes; if using frozen fruit, skip or add 1–2 ice cubes for extra thickness.
- 4
Blend until smooth
Secure the lid and blend on medium-high for 30–60 seconds, stopping to scrape down the sides once if necessary. Blend until the mixture is smooth and pourable with no large fruit pieces. If too thick, add up to 2 tablespoons (30 ml) more milk and blend briefly. If too thin, add a few more ice cubes or 1/4 cup frozen fruit and re-blend.
