Instructions

1

Prepare the Blood Oranges

Peel the blood oranges, removing all the white pith. Segment the oranges and place them in a blender.

2

Make the Syrup

In a saucepan, combine water and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat and let it cool.

3

Blend Ingredients

Add the cooled sugar syrup, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt to the blender with the blood orange segments. Blend until smooth.

4

Chill the Mixture

Pour the blended mixture into a shallow dish and place it in the freezer for about 1 hour, or until it begins to freeze around the edges.

5

Scrape and Freeze

Using a fork, scrape the mixture to break up any ice crystals. Return to the freezer and repeat the scraping process every 30 minutes for about 2-3 hours, until the sorbet is fully frozen and fluffy.

6

Serve

Scoop the sorbet into bowls or cups and serve immediately. Enjoy your refreshing blood orange sorbet!
