Method
Sparkling Base
Chill and combine
Place chilled club soda (or sparkling water) and chilled ginger ale in a large pitcher. Stir gently to combine so carbonation is retained.
Fruit & Flavor
Prepare citrus
Juice fresh lemons and oranges until you have 1/2 cup each. Remove seeds. Add both juices to the pitcher with the sparkling base and stir gently to combine.
Add pomegranate/grenadine and mint
Stir in 2 tablespoons pomegranate molasses or grenadine for color and depth. Lightly bruise the mint leaves between your palms to release aroma and add them to the pitcher, giving a gentle stir to incorporate without shredding the leaves.
Taste the mixture. If you prefer a sweeter drink, add the optional 2 teaspoons simple syrup or honey syrup and stir until integrated.
Ice & Serve
Assemble glasses
Fill 6 serving glasses with approximately 2/3 cup crushed ice or a few ice cubes each (total about 4 cups used across glasses).
Portion and garnish
Pour the Montellier mixture over the ice, dividing evenly among the 6 glasses (about 2/3 cup of liquid per glass). Garnish each glass with a thin orange slice, a lemon wheel, and a sprig of the bruised mint. For a visual flourish, add a small drizzle (~1/4 tsp) of grenadine to the top of each glass so it sinks slightly for a layered look.
Serve immediately with straws or stirrers so guests can adjust sweetness or mix flavors as desired.
