Viennoiserie (choose 1 per box)

Orange juice (individual bottle)

Method

Viennoiserie (choose and prepare)

  1. 1

    Select and warm (if desired)

Choose one viennoiserie item (croissant, pain au chocolat, almond croissant, or Danish). If serving warm, preheat oven to 160°C (325°F). Place the pastry on a baking tray and warm for 4–6 minutes until just heated through and slightly crisp on the outside. Allow to cool 2 minutes before wrapping.

  2. 2

Wrap the chosen viennoiserie in a sheet of parchment or wax paper and place it into the box or beside the breakfast jar. Include a napkin.

Breakfast jar (assemble jar for one)

  1. 3

    Layer the jar

Place 2 tbs of granola (if using) at the bottom of the jar to keep moisture away from oats. Add 1/2 cup rolled oats on top of granola (or directly if not using granola). Sprinkle a pinch (1/8 tsp) of salt over the oats and add 1 tablespoon chia seeds.

  2. 4

    Add dairy/plant components

Pour 1/2 cup milk into the jar, then add 1/4 cup Greek yogurt. Drizzle 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup over the yogurt layer for sweetness. Close the lid and gently shake or stir to combine slightly — the oats should be moistened but not thin.

  3. 5

    Add fruit and toppings

Top the jar with 1/2 cup mixed berries and 1/2 sliced banana. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon chopped toasted nuts on top. Reserve extra granola (1–2 tbs) in a small separate compartment or bag if you prefer it crunchy at serving.

  4. 6

Seal the jar with a lid and label with contents and date. Refrigerate until pickup/delivery (keeps well up to 24 hours chilled). If making ahead longer, keep fruit toppings separate and add at service time.

Orange juice (bottle)

  1. 7

    Prepare juice

If using fresh oranges, juice enough oranges to yield 250 ml (about 2–3 medium oranges). Optional: stir in 1 teaspoon lemon juice to brighten flavor. Strain if you prefer pulp-free juice.

  2. 8

Pour juice into a 250 ml individual bottle, seal tightly, and chill. Label with date and keep refrigerated until packing.

Packaging & final packing

  1. 9

Assemble the breakfast box: place the wrapped viennoiserie, the sealed breakfast jar, and the individual bottle of orange juice into the box so items sit flat and secure. Include the napkin and a label/sticker with item name and preparation date.

  2. 10

If transporting, keep boxes refrigerated or in a chilled insulated carrier to maintain freshness. For best quality, consume within the same day or refrigerated overnight (jar and juice).
