Method
Cocktail
- 1
Chill glass
Place an Old Fashioned glass (rocks glass) in the freezer or fill it with ice water to chill while you prepare the cocktail.
- 2
Add the Malfy Orange Gin (1 oz), Select Italian Aperitivo (1 oz), Mommenpop Blood Orange Apéritif (1/2 oz) and blood orange cordial (1/4 oz) into a mixing glass or shaker without shaking.

- 5
Strain
Using a Hawthorne or fine strainer, strain the stirred cocktail into the chilled glass over the fresh ice.
- 6
Optional finish
If using bitters, add 1 dash to the top of the cocktail and let it settle for a few seconds. This will add aromatic complexity.
Garnish & Serve
- 7
Express oil and garnish
Take a blood orange peel or thin wheel. If using a peel, hold it over the drink and gently squeeze/express the oils by bending the peel so oils spray over the surface; then rub the peel around the glass rim and drop it into the drink. If using a wheel, float it on top of the ice.

Serve
Present immediately. Serve as a single 1-serve cocktail. Suggest pairing with savory appetizers or enjoying as an aperitivo before dinner.
