Method

Cocktail

1

Chill glass

Place a coupe or large martini glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes, or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to chill.

2

Add Hendrick's gin, elderflower liqueur, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker.

3

Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup) and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is cold to the touch and the exterior shows condensation.

4

Discard ice or water from the chilled glass. Double-strain the shaken mixture into the chilled glass using a Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer to remove small ice shards and any pulp.

5

Carefully float 2 oz chilled Prosecco on top by pouring it gently over the back of a bar spoon to preserve the effervescence.

Garnish & Serve

6

Thread or arrange a cucumber ribbon along the inside of the glass or lay it across the surface of the cocktail for aroma and visual appeal.

7

Express a lemon twist over the drink (twist to release oils), rub the rim with the twist if desired, then drop it into the cocktail as a final garnish.

8

Serve immediately while the Prosecco is fizzy. Provide a small bar spoon if you want guests to gently stir before sipping to combine flavors.
