1

Prepare glass

Choose a large wine glass (or an old-fashioned glass if unavailable). Fill the glass about three-quarters full with fresh ice cubes to chill the glass and keep the drink cold.

2

Add Aperol

Pour 3 tablespoons (about 1.5 oz) of Aperol over the ice. Pour gently so the Aperol settles among the ice rather than splashing out.

3

Add Prosecco

Slowly pour 4 oz of chilled Prosecco into the glass. Pour over the back of a spoon or down the side of the glass if you want to preserve some layering; otherwise pour gently to combine.

4

Top with soda

Add a splash of chilled soda water, about 1 oz, to top the drink and add a light effervescence. Stir very gently once (one or two slow turns) to lightly combine Aperol, Prosecco, and soda without losing too much fizz.

5

Garnish and serve

Garnish with one fresh orange slice on the rim or floated in the drink. Serve immediately with a straw or cocktail pick if desired.
