Method
Juice (main)
Prepare fruit
Wash the oranges and pineapple thoroughly. If using organic, scrub the skins; otherwise rinse well. Pat dry.
Peel and segment oranges
Using a sharp knife, cut each orange in half crosswise. Remove any seeds and, if desired, remove the white pith from halves to reduce bitterness. If using a juicer, leave as halves. If using a blender, peel and segment oranges to remove as much pith as possible.
Trim and chop pineapple
Cut the top and bottom off the pineapple. Stand it upright and slice away the skin, then cut the pineapple into quarters lengthwise and remove the tough core from each quarter. Chop the flesh into roughly 1-inch pieces.
Juice fruit
Method A - Centrifugal or masticating juicer: Feed orange halves and pineapple pieces through the juicer, alternating to get a balanced extraction. Method B - Blender: Put orange segments and pineapple pieces into a blender with 1 cup cold water. Blend on high until fully puréed (about 45–60 seconds). For a smoother texture, blend an additional 10–15 seconds.
Strain (optional)
If you prefer a very smooth, pulp-free juice, pour the blended purée through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a bowl, pressing with a spatula to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard or reserve pulp for another use.
Optional finishing
Adjust sweetness and dilute
Taste the fresh juice. If it's too intense or thick, add up to 1/2 cup additional cold water and stir. If you prefer sweeter juice, stir in up to 1 tsp granulated sugar or 1 tsp simple syrup until dissolved. For brighter acidity, squeeze in a little lime from a wedge.
Chill and serve
Fill serving glasses with ice if desired. Pour the juice over ice, garnish with a mint leaf and optional lime wedge. Serve immediately for best freshness.
