Build and shake

Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice (about 1/2 cup). Add 2 oz cinnamon whisky, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice and 0.25 oz simple syrup. Add 2 dashes of Angostura bitters. Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 8–10 seconds until well chilled.

Prepare glass

Fill a highball or Collins glass with ice (about 1 cup).

Combine

Strain the shaken mixture into the prepared glass over the ice. Top with 4 oz chilled ginger beer and stir gently once or twice to combine without flattening the fizz.

Garnish

Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Optionally skewer a piece of candied ginger or rest a cinnamon stick in the glass for aroma and visual appeal.
