Bottle & Serve
Chill glass
Place each rocks glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill briefly with ice water to lightly chill while preparing ice and garnish.
Prepare ice
If using large cubes or spheres, ensure they are clear and frozen solid. Add one large cube or sphere to each chilled rocks glass just before pouring.
Measure and pour
Using a jigger, pour 60 ml (2 oz) of Blanton's Single Barrel into each prepared glass over the large ice cube. If serving straight from the bottle for multiple guests, decant the bottle and pour 60 ml per serving.
Optional dilution
Offer filtered water at the table. For guests who prefer a gentler profile, add 5–15 ml (about 1–3 teaspoons) of water to the bourbon and stir once with a bar spoon to integrate. Use a water dropper or measuring spoon for precision.
Serve
Present the glass on a coaster or wooden service board. For multiple guests, repeat steps for each serving. Advise guests to sip slowly and enjoy neat or with the optional water.
