Strawberry Shake

Enjoy a creamy and refreshing regular-sized strawberry shake made with ripe strawberries and smooth vanilla ice cream.

Harvest the Pinot Noir grapes and remove any stems or leaves. Rinse the grapes under cool water to remove any dirt.

Prepare the Grapes

In a large fermentation vessel, crush the grapes to release their juice. Make sure to leave the skins in contact with the juice for improved color and flavor extraction.

Add 4 cups of water to the crushed grapes and stir in 0.5 cups of sugar until dissolved.

Sprinkle 1 tsp of wine yeast over the mixture and add 1 tsp of acid blend. Stir gently to combine.

Crush 2 Campden tablets and add to the mixture to sterilize it. Cover the fermentation vessel with a clean cloth and allow it to sit at room temperature for 24 hours.

Prepare for Fermentation

After 24 hours, cover the fermentation vessel with an airlock and let it ferment for 7-10 days, stirring daily until fermentation slows down.

Ferment the Mixture

Once fermentation is complete, strain the liquid through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to remove solids. Transfer the liquid to a clean glass carboy.

After aging for at least 4-6 weeks, bottle the wine in sterilized bottles and cork them tightly. Allow the wine to age for at least 3-6 months before tasting.
