Prepare the Crab Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, chopped green onions, egg, bread crumbs, and season with salt and black pepper. Gently mix until all ingredients are well incorporated, being careful not to break up the crab meat too much.
Forming and Cooking
Form the Crab Cakes
With your hands, form the mixture into patties, about 1 to 1.5 inches thick. You should be able to make approximately 6-8 crab cakes depending on the size.
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat until shimmering.
Drain and Serve
Once cooked, transfer the crab cakes to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
