Method

Cocktail

1

Combine base ingredients

Add navy-strength gin, blue curaçao, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, dry vermouth and egg white (if using) into a cocktail shaker without ice.

2

Dry shake

Secure the shaker and dry-shake vigorously for 20 seconds to emulsify the egg white and create a silky texture.

3

Wet shake

Open the shaker, add 6 ice cubes, then shake hard for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is very cold to the touch and well-chilled.

4

Double strain

Double-strain the cocktail through a fine mesh strainer into a chilled rocks glass over a single large ice cube to keep dilution slow and presentation clean.

5

Bitters finish

Float two dashes of Angostura bitters onto the foam or surface. Using a toothpick, gently drag a small wave pattern through the bitters if foam is present to create a 'wavy' visual.

Garnish & Serve

6

Express the lemon twist over the cocktail to release oils, rim the glass lightly with the peel, then drop it onto the ice as garnish.

7

Optionally mist a tiny pinch of ocean salt onto the top to accentuate the maritime theme—do not over-salt; a light spray is sufficient.

8

Serve immediately with a small bar spoon or straw for the guest to admire the layered blue color and wave motif.
