Base Ingredients

1

Gather materials

Collect the client's takeout menu items from their account, including item names, descriptions, prices, and any existing categorization. Confirm you have access permissions and any special notes about ingredients, allergens, or prep times.

2

Identify matches

Compare the client's items to the target takeout menu you are converting to. For each item, note matching names, close equivalents, and items that need rewriting to match the target menu's style and portioning. Mark any items that require clarification from the client.

3

Record quantities

For every matched item, record the quantity or portion size as presented on the client's source and the target menu. If portioning differs, flag for the client to confirm final pricing impact.

Branding & Design

4

Apply brand guidelines

Open the professional formatting template and apply the client's brand colors, logo, and tone-of-voice guidelines. Ensure font sizes and spacing are consistent and appropriate for both digital and print menus.

5

Rewrite descriptions

Rewrite each matched item description to match the target menu's style while preserving important ingredients, allergens, and portion details. Keep descriptions concise, appetizing, and consistent across categories.

6

Add imagery

Insert high-resolution images for featured items where available. Crop and optimize images for quick loading and clear display. If no images are provided, use placeholders and note which images are requested from the client.

Review & Delivery

7

Quality review

Perform two passes of quality control: the first for accuracy (names, prices, allergens), the second for formatting (alignment, truncation, visual consistency). Use a checklist to ensure every item has price, category, and a clear description.

8

Client review and revisions

Deliver the draft menu to the client in their preferred format (PDF for visual review, DOCX for editable text). Allow up to two rounds of revisions. Track changes and implement requested edits promptly, confirming any pricing or portion changes.

9

Finalize and export

After client approval, export final files in requested formats (PDF, DOCX, JSON). Provide the client with source files and a short guide on how to update items in the future. Archive the project and note versions for accountability.
