Classic Retro Cocktail — Electric Gin Fizz (single serving)

Retro Snack — Crispy Parmesan Garlic Tots (makes ~12)

Dip — Retro Ranch-Yogurt Dip (makes ~3/4 cup)

Method

Classic Retro Cocktail — Electric Gin Fizz (single serving)

1

Dry shake (if using egg white)

In a cocktail shaker, combine gin (2 oz), fresh lemon juice (0.75 oz), simple syrup (0.5 oz) and egg white (0.5 each) if using. Do a dry shake (no ice) vigorously for 10–15 seconds to emulsify and create foam.

2

Shake

Add ice (about 1 cup) to the shaker and shake again vigorously for 15 seconds until well chilled.

3

Strain and top

Double-strain into a chilled Collins or highball glass filled with fresh ice. Top with club soda (2 oz) and stir gently once to combine.

4

Blue float and garnish

Carefully pour blue curaçao (0.25 oz) over the back of a spoon near the surface to create a thin float for a retro neon hue. Garnish with a lemon wheel and a maraschino cherry. Serve immediately.

Retro Snack — Crispy Parmesan Garlic Tots (makes ~12)

5

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment or a lightly oiled rack set over a sheet for extra crisping.

6

Toss tots with olive oil: In a bowl, combine frozen tater tots (12) and olive oil (1 tbsp) until evenly coated.

7

Season: In a small bowl mix grated Parmesan (2 tbsp), garlic powder (0.5 tsp), smoked paprika (0.25 tsp), salt (0.25 tsp) and black pepper (0.125 tsp). Sprinkle the seasoning over the oiled tots and toss to coat evenly.

8

Bake: Spread tots in a single layer on the prepared sheet or rack. Bake 20–25 minutes, turning once halfway through, until golden brown and very crispy (times vary by oven and tot brand).

9

Finish and garnish: Remove from oven and immediately toss or sprinkle with additional Parmesan if desired. Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley (1 tbsp) over the hot tots and serve warm with the dip.

Dip — Retro Ranch-Yogurt Dip (makes ~3/4 cup)

10

Combine ingredients: In a small bowl, whisk together plain Greek yogurt (0.5 cup) and mayonnaise (0.25 cup) until smooth.

11

Add seasonings: Stir in dried dill (0.5 tsp), dried parsley (0.5 tsp), onion powder (0.25 tsp), garlic powder (0.25 tsp), lemon juice (0.5 tsp), salt (0.125 tsp) and black pepper (0.0625 tsp). Taste and adjust seasoning.

12

Chill: Cover and refrigerate at least 15 minutes to let flavors meld before serving alongside the crispy tots.
