Sparkling Fruit Juices
Batch/Optional Bottling
Method
Sparkling Fruit Juices
Chill ingredients
Place the sparkling water and fruit juice in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes prior to mixing so the beverage stays bright and fizzy when served.
Combine juices
In a large pitcher, pour 2 cups of the chosen 100% fruit juice and add the 2 tablespoons fresh citrus juice. If you like a slightly sweeter Izze-style drink, stir in 2 teaspoons of simple syrup now; otherwise skip.
Add sparkling water
Slowly pour 4 cups of chilled sparkling water into the pitcher over the back of a spoon or down the side to preserve carbonation. Stir gently once or twice to combine — avoid vigorous stirring to keep the fizz.
Prepare serving glasses
Fill 4 serving glasses with about 1/2 cup (approx. 2–3 ice cubes each) of ice. Divide the mixed sparkling fruit juice among the glasses.
Garnish and serve
Garnish each glass with a slice of fresh citrus or a few berries. Serve immediately so the drink remains effervescent.
Batch/Optional Bottling
Bottle for later
If making ahead, fill clean airtight bottles leaving about 1 inch headspace. Seal and chill upright in the refrigerator. Consume within 48–72 hours for best flavor and fizz. Open carefully to release pressure slowly.
Note on proportions: The recipe above makes a lightly sweetened, fizzy fruit beverage reminiscent of Izze. Adjust fruit juice to sparkling water ratio to taste (1:2 to 1:1 juice:carbonation) and omit simple syrup for a less sweet, more natural profile.
