Method

Prepare Glass

1

Rim the glass

Rub the lemon wedge around the rim of a chilled 12-oz rocks or margarita glass to moisten. Dip the rim into the superfine sugar on a small plate and rotate to coat evenly. Set glass aside in the refrigerator or on a tray with ice to keep chilled while you mix the cocktail.

Mix Cocktail

2

Add 2 oz RumChata, 1 oz vodka, 4 oz fresh lemonade, 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice, and 0.25 oz simple syrup into a cocktail shaker.

3

Fill the shaker with about 1 cup of ice. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is very cold and slightly frosted. The shaking chills and dilutes the dairy-forward RumChata gently so the texture is smooth.

4

Strain the mixture into the prepared sugar-rimmed glass over fresh ice (optional) or serve up without ice if preferred. Use a fine strainer if you want a slightly smoother texture.

Finish & Serve

5

Garnish with a lemon wheel on the rim and, if you saved the lemon wedge, tuck it alongside the wheel or float it in the drink. Serve immediately.

6

Suggested serving note: This cocktail balances RumChata's creamy, cinnamon-vanilla notes with bright lemonade and vodka for structure. Adjust simple syrup (+/− 0.25 oz) to taste if the lemonade is tart.
