1

Chill and prepare glass

Place a highball or Collins glass in the freezer for a few minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare ingredients to chill the glass. If using immediately, fill the serving glass with fresh ice and discard any ice water.

2

Mix citrus base

In a shaker or mixing glass, combine 2 fl oz fresh grapefruit juice, 0.5 fl oz fresh lime juice, and 0.25 fl oz simple syrup. Add 0.5 fl oz vodka if you want a stronger drink. Add a small handful of ice (about 1/2 cup) to the shaker, then cap and shake vigorously for 8–10 seconds to chill and lightly dilute.

3

Assemble the cocktail

Discard ice from the chilled serving glass (if used to chill) and add 1 cup fresh ice to the glass. Strain the shaken citrus base over the ice. Slowly pour 12 fl oz (one can) of White Claw Grapefruit over the back of a spoon or down the side of the glass to preserve carbonation and create a layered look. Stir gently once with a bar spoon to combine — 2 gentle turns.

4

Garnish and serve

Garnish with a grapefruit wedge on the rim and optionally a sprig of fresh mint for aroma. Serve immediately with a straw or stirring straw. Note: adjust simple syrup or vodka to taste; omit vodka for a lighter, ready-to-drink style.
