Cocktail

For the glass rim (optional)

Method

Prepare glass (optional)

1

Rim the glass

If rimming, rub the lime wedge around the outer edge of the glass (or the top lip if preferred) then dip the wet rim into the coarse salt or chili-lime salt so it adheres. Set glass aside.

Mix the cocktail

2

Fill a highball or copper mule mug with ice to chill.

3

Pour 2 oz Patrón Silver tequila over the ice.

4

Add 0.75 oz fresh lime juice (about 1/2 to 3/4 of a lime, freshly squeezed) to the glass.

5

Top with approximately 4 oz chilled ginger beer. Pour gently to preserve carbonation.

6

Stir gently once or twice with a bar spoon to combine tequila, lime, and ginger beer without flattening the ginger beer.

Garnish & serve

7

Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. If you like a spicy accent, add a candied or pickled jalapeño slice on top or on a cocktail pick.

8

Serve immediately while cold and fizzy.
