Prepare glass
Fill a copper mule mug or a highball glass with cubed ice until nearly full (about 1 cup). Filling the glass first keeps the drink cold and prevents excessive dilution when pouring.
Add spirits and citrus
Pour 2 oz Deep Eddy Cranberry vodka over the ice, then add 1/2 oz fresh lime juice. If you don't have a jigger, 1/2 oz is about 1 tablespoon.
Top with ginger beer
Carefully top the mixture with 4 oz ginger beer. Pour slowly to preserve carbonation. Do not stir vigorously; a gentle stir (1–2 turns) is enough to integrate.
Adjust to taste
Taste and, if desired, add up to 1/4 oz more lime juice for brightness or an extra 1 oz ginger beer for more fizz. Stir gently after any addition.
Garnish
Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. For a festive touch, float 4–6 fresh cranberries on top and optionally tuck a mint sprig alongside the lime. Serve immediately with a short straw.
