Cocktail

1 1/2 oz Bacardi Lime rum (or light rum with lime)1 oz DeKuyper or Bols Cherry Pucker (cherry liqueur)4 oz Fresh lemonade1/2 oz Fresh lime juice1/4 oz Simple syrup (optional, for extra sweetness)

Garnish & Finish

1 each Maraschino cherry or fresh cherry1 each Lime wheel or wedge1 cup Ice (cubed)

Method

Cocktail

Build in shaker

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice (about 3/4 full). Add 1.5 oz Bacardi Lime rum, 1 oz Cherry Pucker, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, and 4 oz fresh lemonade. If you prefer a sweeter drink, add 0.25 oz simple syrup.

Shake

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 8–12 seconds until well chilled and slightly diluted.

Strain or pour

Fill a highball or Collins glass with fresh ice (use the 1 cup of ice). Strain the shaken cocktail into the glass over the ice.

Garnish & Finish

Garnish the drink with a maraschino or fresh cherry dropped into the glass and a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Give a quick gentle stir to marry flavors and serve immediately with a straw if desired.
