Cocktail

1

Chill glass

Place a coupe or martini glass in the freezer for at least 5 minutes or fill with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to chill it.

2

Measure and pour vodka, blue curaçao, fresh lime juice, olive brine, dry vermouth, and simple syrup into a cocktail shaker.

3

Add a dash of Angostura bitters to the shaker. Fill the shaker with ice (about 6–8 cubes).

4

Shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the exterior of the shaker is frosty and well chilled; the olive brine needs good dilution to integrate with the citrus and liqueur.

5

Discard ice or water from the chilled glass. Double-strain the mixture into the chilled coupe/martini glass using both the shaker strainer and a fine mesh strainer to remove tiny ice shards and any olive bits.

Garnish & Serve

6

Skewer three pitted green olives on a cocktail pick and rest across the rim of the glass or drop into the drink.

7

Float a lime wheel on the surface or clip to the rim for aroma.

8

Serve immediately. Recommend a small napkin—this 'dirty' blue cocktail combines briny olive notes with bright citrus and sweet blue curaçao for a shark-blue, savory-sweet balance.
