Cocktail

Method

Cocktail

1

Chill glass

Place a highball or Collins glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare the drink to chill it.

2

Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice (about 1 cup).

3

Add vanilla vodka (2 oz), Irish cream liqueur (1 oz), fresh orange juice (1 oz), and orange liqueur (0.5 oz) to the shaker. If you prefer a sweeter or more pronounced vanilla note, add 0.25 oz vanilla simple syrup.

4

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until the outside of the shaker is cold and slightly frosted. The shake chills and slightly emulsifies the Irish cream with the citrus.

5

Discard ice or water from the chilled glass if used. Fill the glass with fresh ice (crushed or cubes).

6

Strain the shaken mixture into the prepared glass over ice, leaving about 1–1.5 inches of headspace.

7

Gently top with Foxon Park Orange Soda (3 oz). Pour slowly over the back of a spoon or down the side of the glass to preserve some effervescence and create a layered look. Stir once gently with a bar spoon to combine—one or two slow turns.

Garnish & Finish

8

Express an orange peel over the drink by holding it skin side down about 3–4 inches above the glass and giving it a quick twist to release oils. Optionally rub the peel around the rim and drop it into the cocktail or garnish with an orange wheel on the rim.

9

Optional: sprinkle a light pinch of orange zest over the top for extra aroma.

10

Serve immediately with a straw or stirrer. Sip and enjoy the creamsicle-like balance of creamy Irish cream, vanilla vodka, citrus, and fizzy orange soda.
