Serving Add-ons
Method
Still & Sparkling Mineral Water
Chill and serve
Keep still and sparkling mineral water refrigerated at 4–8°C. Serve the 500ml bottle chilled. If serving in a glass: fill the glass halfway with ice (optional), pour water gently to avoid over-aeration (for sparkling water, pour down the side of the glass), and present with the unopened remainder of the bottle alongside.
Carbonated Soft Drinks (Cans)
Artisanal & Specialty Soft Drinks (Bottles)
Presenting bottled soft drinks
Keep bottles refrigerated at 4–8°C. For Fentimans and other premium bottles, present the unopened 275–330ml bottle on a napkin or coaster. If pouring: open bottle cap carefully, pour slowly into a glass with or without ice depending on the drink (ginger beer and rose lemonade are typically served without ice to preserve aromatics; iced tea may be served over ice). Garnish elderflower lemonade or rose lemonade with a lemon wedge if requested.
Serving Add-ons
Ice: Use fresh, clean ice cubes. If using ice, fill glass to ~3/4 full for 330ml servings and ~1/2 full for 500ml bottles to avoid overflow when pouring. Lemon wedge: cut a thin wedge and place on the rim or drop into the glass for a hint of citrus (particularly good with Lipton Lemon Iced Tea or elderflower lemonade). Straws: provide a paper or reusable straw on request.
Storage & Handling
Store all unopened cans and bottles upright in a refrigerator or chilled display at 4–8°C, away from strong odors. Check best-before dates regularly. Once opened and not finished, reseal bottles where possible and refrigerate; consume within 24 hours for best carbonation and flavor.
