Preparation

Coq au Vin Preparation

1. 1. Prepare the Chicken

In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add bacon and cook until crispy. Remove bacon and set aside. In the same pot, add chicken thighs, season with salt and pepper, and brown on both sides.

2. 2. Cook Vegetables

Add onions, garlic, carrots, and mushrooms to the pot. Sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.

3. 3. Add Wine

Pour in the red wine, add thyme and bay leaves. Return the bacon to the pot. Cover and simmer for 1 hour.

Ratatouille Preparation

4. 1. Sauté Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.

5. 2. Add Remaining Vegetables

Add zucchini, eggplant, bell peppers, and tomatoes. Season with salt, pepper, and thyme. Cook for 20-25 minutes until vegetables are tender.

Beef Bourguignon Preparation

6. 1. Brown the Beef

In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add bacon and cook until crispy. Remove bacon and set aside. In the same pot, add beef and brown on all sides.

7. 2. Cook Vegetables

Add onion, garlic, carrots, thyme, and bay leaves. Sauté for 5 minutes.

8. 3. Add Wine

Pour in the red wine and bring to a simmer. Cover and cook for 2-3 hours until beef is tender.

Salade Niçoise Preparation

9. 1. Assemble the Salad

In a large bowl, combine salad greens, tomatoes, tuna, olives, and green beans.

10. 2. Prepare Dressing

In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Drizzle over salad and toss gently.
