Room Footprint & Layout

1

Verify the attic room footprint totals approximately 39 sqm. Allocate an estimated 6 sqm for a small veranda accessible via a door or folding window. Plan bed placement to create comfortable circulation (minimum 60 cm walkway around beds).

Beds & Bedding

2

Assemble beds

Assemble 2 double bed frames in parallel or L-shaped arrangement depending on room proportions. Position beds so bedside tables fit between or beside them and so guests have clear access to the veranda and bathroom.

3

Place mattresses on frames and make beds with fitted sheets. Add medium-loft duvets inside covers, arrange two pillows per bed with pillowcases, and fold a decorative throw blanket across the foot of one bed or shared between both for visual cohesion.

4

Ensure mattress support is secure and that mattress height allows easy entry/exit (typically 50-60 cm from floor to top of mattress inclusive of frame).

Furniture & Storage

5

Place a wardrobe or closet near the entrance or along a wall to maximize usable space. Install a luggage rack near the wardrobe or at the foot of one bed.

6

Set nightstands on either side of the bed(s). Place a small dresser along an available wall, and position a compact writing desk with chair where natural light from the veranda or attic window is accessible.

7

Arrange an armchair or small sofa in a corner to create a relaxation nook, and situate the veranda table and two chairs just outside the door on the veranda for outdoor seating.

Lighting & Electronics

8

Install the ceiling light centrally to provide general illumination. Place bedside lamps on each nightstand for reading and ambient lighting. Add a directional reading light near the armchair or desk if not included with lamps.

9

Mount or place a television opposite the beds at comfortable viewing height. Ensure a wifi access point provides strong signal to the room and that at least six power outlets are available near beds, desk, and TV.

Bathroom & Amenities

10

Confirm the ensuite bathroom is stocked with two bath towels and two hand towels per stay. Place a toiletries kit (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, shower cap, toothbrush kit optional) neatly on the bathroom shelf or in a welcome tray.

11

Install a wall-mounted hairdryer in the bathroom with clear instructions. Ensure ventilation and exhaust fan are functioning to prevent humidity buildup in the attic space.

Comfort & Décor

12

Lay an area rug between the beds or at the foot of the beds to add warmth and sound dampening. Hang curtains or blinds on the veranda door and any attic windows to control light and privacy.

13

Install wall art or décor pieces to create a cohesive, relaxing ambiance—choose calming colors and textures. Place a full-length mirror on a free wall near the wardrobe and add one or two low-maintenance indoor plants for freshness.

Safety & Housekeeping

14

Install a functioning smoke detector inside the room and ensure a fire extinguisher is accessible in the corridor or nearby. Provide a small first aid kit in the wardrobe or locked drawer and include a cleaning supplies kit for staff use between guests.

15

Document housekeeping procedures for mattress rotation, linen changes, and deep-clean schedule appropriate to occupancy to maintain hygiene and comfort.

Welcome & Guest Extras

16

Prepare a welcome tray with tea and coffee supplies, mugs, sugar, and a kettle or coffee maker. Place two bottles of water and a local guide/info folder on the dresser or desk for guest convenience.

17

Perform a final inspection prior to guest arrival: check that all lights, electronics, and Wi‑Fi are functioning, that the beds are crisply made, towels are folded, and the veranda area is clean and inviting.
