Method

Main Juice

1

Prepare produce

Wash all fruit and vegetables thoroughly. Peel the oranges and remove any seeds. Peel and trim the carrots; cut into pieces that will fit your juicer or blender. Core and quarter the apple. Peel and thinly slice the ginger.

2

Juicing method (juicer)

Feed oranges, carrots, apple, and ginger through the juicer in that order. Collect the juice in a pitcher. Stir in the lemon juice and cold water or coconut water to adjust consistency. Taste and add honey/agave if desired. Chill briefly or serve over ice.

3

Blender method (if no juicer)

Place oranges (segments), carrot pieces, apple quarters, ginger slices, and cold water or coconut water in a high-speed blender. Blend on high until smooth, about 45โ€“60 seconds. Place a fine mesh strainer or nut-milk bag over a bowl or pitcher and pour the blended mixture through, pressing with a spatula to extract as much liquid as possible. Stir in lemon juice and honey/agave if using. Chill briefly or serve over ice.

4

Adjust and serve

Taste the juice and adjust sweetness or acidity: add up to 1 tsp honey/agave for sweetness or extra lemon juice for brightness. If too concentrated, dilute with additional cold water or coconut water, 2โ€“4 tbsp at a time. Add ice if desired, stir, and pour into glasses. Garnish with mint leaves if using.

Optional Add-ins

5

If using mint, bruise the leaves gently between your fingers to release aroma and either add to the blender/juicer with the other produce or use as a garnish. If using ice, add to glasses just before serving to avoid diluting the juice while it's resting.
