Room Base & Layout

Method

Room Base & Layout

1

Allocate a 44 m2 footprint and plan a layout that places two double beds opposite the large windows/veranda to maximize the Taal Volcano view while maintaining clear circulation space (minimum 60 cm walkways).

2

Install a full-width window or sliding glass door facing the vista; ensure structural headers and weatherproofing are in place.

3

Build a veranda with safe railing, weatherproof flooring, and space for two chairs and a small table directly accessible from the room.

Furnishings & Comfort

4

Position the two queen-size beds parallel to each other or side-by-side depending on arrangement. Leave at least 60–80 cm clearance on each side for bedside tables and access.

5

Place high-density foam or pocket-spring mattresses on bed frames. Add mattress toppers for an extra layer of comfort.

6

Dress each bed with fitted sheet, flat sheet, duvet/comforter and three pillows (mix soft and firm). Tuck and smooth linens for a hotel-standard presentation.

7

Set bedside tables next to each bed with a lamp and a small drawer or shelf for guest items.

8

Install a wardrobe/closet with at least 8 hangers, an internal shelf for luggage and a luggage rack near the entrance for suitcases.

9

Create a seating area with two armchairs and a coffee table positioned to take advantage of the view while remaining accessible.

10

Place a desk or dressing table with a comfortable chair and a mirror in a well-lit area for work or grooming.

Veranda & View Elements

11

Install a sliding glass door between the room and veranda. Ensure smooth operation, secure locks and weather seals.

12

Put two outdoor chairs and a small table on the veranda. Arrange them to face the view and allow comfortable movement.

13

Add a privacy screen or planter on one side of the veranda to give guests a sense of privacy without blocking the view.

Lighting & Ambience

14

Install an overhead ambient light fixture centrally in the room with dimming capability to set different moods.

15

Place bedside lamps on each bedside table for reading. Add a floor or reading lamp near the seating area.

16

Hang blackout curtains and sheer curtains on a double rod: sheers for daylight diffusion and blackout for privacy and darkness at night.

Technology & Amenities

17

Mount the flat-screen TV on the wall opposite the beds or seating area, and hide cables neatly inside conduits.

18

Install a mini-fridge in a convenient cabinet or nook. Stock with welcome beverages if desired.

19

Provide a coffee/tea maker and supplies (kettle, cups, tea bags, instant coffee, sugar, creamer) on a designated hospitality tray.

20

Install an in-room safebox near the wardrobe and ensure staff can program it for guests.

21

Ensure reliable air conditioning with adjustable thermostatic control and provide clear instructions for use.

22

Confirm high-speed Wi-Fi coverage throughout the room and veranda; place a phone and hairdryer in accessible drawers or mounted holders.

Bathroom & Toiletries

23

Fit an ensuite bathroom with a shower or tub finished in easy-to-clean, water-resistant materials. Ensure adequate ventilation and a secure lock.

24

Provide a set of towels (bath, hand, face) per guest and place them on shelves or towel racks. Include a bath mat outside the shower or tub.

25

Stock toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion) in single-use or refillable dispensers and keep spare toilet paper accessible.

26

Place a hairdryer in a drawer or wall-mounted holder with visible instructions and safety information.

Decor & Extras

27

Hang two pieces of tasteful artwork or framed prints that complement the room's color palette, positioned to enhance the visual flow without cluttering walls.

28

Place an area rug under the seating area or at the foot of the beds to add warmth and define zones.

29

Add potted plants or greenery to bring life into the room; position them where natural light supports them and they're easy to maintain.

30

Set a welcome tray with bottled water, local information, and a small welcome note on the coffee table or desk.
