Cocktail

Method

Cocktail

  1. 1

    Prepare glass

Chill a highball or Collins glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail. Discard the ice water and add fresh ice (about 3/4 full) to the glass.

  2. 2

    Combine ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz Tito's Vodka, 1 oz strawberry purée, 2 oz pineapple juice, 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice, and 0.5 oz simple syrup. Fill the shaker with ice (about 3/4 full).

  3. 3

    Shake

Secure the shaker and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the exterior of the shaker is very cold and the mixture is well chilled and slightly frothy.

  4. 4

    Strain and top

Double-strain (using the shaker's strainer or a fine-mesh strainer) into the prepared glass over fresh ice. Top with 2 oz club soda (or lemon-lime soda for a sweeter finish). Gently stir once with a bar spoon to combine without flattening the soda.

  5. 5

    Garnish and serve

Float a lemon slice on the rim or on top of the drink. Serve immediately with a straw if desired.
