In a large pot, heat the water to about 70°C (158°F). Add the malted barley and stir well. Maintain the temperature for about 30 minutes to convert the starches into sugars.

Step 1: Prepare the Mash

After the mash is ready, strain out the grains and bring the liquid to a boil. Add the hops and let it boil for about 60 minutes.

Step 2: Boil the Mixture

Once boiling is complete, cool the mixture quickly to around 20°C (68°F) using an immersion chiller or an ice bath.

Step 3: Cool the Batch

Transfer the cooled mixture to a fermentation vessel, add the yeast, and seal it with an airlock. Allow it to ferment for about 5-7 days at room temperature.

Step 4: Fermentation

After fermentation, add corn syrup for sweetness and to aid carbonation. Then, bottle the mixture and allow it to carbonate for another week.

Step 5: Carbonation

Once carbonated, chill the bottles in the refrigerator. Serve cold and enjoy your non-alcoholic lager!
