Cooking Instructions
Marinate the Wild Boar
Rub the marinade over the wild boar meat, ensuring it is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Sear the Meat
In a large oven-safe skillet, heat a little olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the marinated wild boar on all sides until browned (about 4-5 minutes per side).
Add Fruits and Liquids
Add the dried apricots and cranberries to the skillet. Pour in the red wine and chicken broth, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
Bake the Dish
Cover the skillet with a lid or aluminum foil and transfer it to the preheated oven. Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours or until the meat is tender and cooked through.
Serve
Remove from the oven, let it rest for a few minutes, then slice the wild boar and serve it with the apricot and cranberry sauce.
