Method
Main Proteins (choose one)
Bacon (Pan or Oven)
Pan method: Place a cold 12" skillet over medium heat. Lay 4 bacon strips in a single layer without overlapping. Cook 6–8 minutes, flipping once halfway, until crisped to your liking. Transfer to a paper towel–lined plate to drain. Oven method: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange bacon on a rimmed baking sheet lined with foil and a wire rack if available. Roast 12–18 minutes depending on thickness until crisp. Drain on paper towels.
Sausage Links
Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the 3 sausage links. Cook, turning occasionally, 10–12 minutes until browned on all sides and cooked through (internal temperature 160°F / 71°C). If sausages brown too fast, reduce heat to medium-low and cover for 2–3 minutes to finish cooking evenly.
Eggs
Fried Eggs (Sunny Side Up)
Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-low and add 1 tbs unsalted butter. Crack 2 large eggs into a small bowl then gently slip into the skillet. Season with 1/8 tsp black pepper and 1/4 tsp salt. Cook undisturbed 2–3 minutes until whites are set but yolks still runny. For slightly set tops, cover the pan for 30–45 seconds. Remove with a spatula.
Over Easy/Medium/Hard (Optional)
Follow the fried eggs method; when whites are set, carefully flip each egg with a spatula. For over-easy cook 15–30 seconds more (runny yolk), over-medium 45–60 seconds (slightly jammy yolk), over-hard 90+ seconds (firm yolk).
Toast or Biscuit
Toast
Toast 2 slices of bread in a toaster or under a broiler until golden (about 2–3 minutes). Spread 1 tbs butter on hot toast and cut on the diagonal if desired.
Biscuit
If using a pre-baked biscuit, warm in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 6–8 minutes or microwave for 20–30 seconds until heated through. Split and butter before serving.
Plating & Finishing Touches
Arrange the chosen protein (bacon, sausages, or scrapple) on a plate. Place the two eggs beside the protein. Add toast or a buttered biscuit to the plate. Garnish with a sprinkle of chopped fresh parsley if desired. Serve with ketchup, hot sauce, or maple syrup on the side. Total cook order recommendation: start protein first (sausage takes longest), begin eggs when protein is nearly done so everything is hot and ready together.
