Draft Cocktail Base

Aromatics & Garnish

Method

Draft Cocktail Base

1

Choose and chill beers

Select one bold pale ale, one light lager, and one citrus-forward IPA from draft lines. Ensure all beers are well chilled (36–45°F / 2–7°C) before preparing.

2

Measure and combine beers: pour 16 oz of the bold pale ale, 4 oz of the light lager, and 4 oz of the citrus-forward IPA into a clean, chilled mixing pitcher or beer-friendly glass. Stir gently once to integrate without losing excessive carbonation.

Citrus & Sweetening

3

Add fresh juices and syrup: add 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice, 0.25 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.25 oz simple syrup to the combined beers. Gently stir two slow turns to incorporate — aim to mix evenly while preserving carbonation.

4

Taste and adjust: sample a small sip. If the blend is too bitter or dry, add another 0.25 oz simple syrup. If too sweet, add up to 0.25 oz additional lemon or lime juice, adjusting in 0.125 oz increments until balanced.

Aromatics & Garnish

5

Add bitters: drop in 2 dashes of orange bitters and swirl gently to distribute aromatic oils across the surface.

6

Prepare glass: fill a chilled pint or large tulip glass with about 1 cup of fresh ice (optional — for some draft cocktails serve without ice if you want fuller carbonation). If using ice, pour mixture over ice.

7

Finish and garnish: place a fresh orange wheel on the glass rim and, if desired, slap a mint sprig between your hands to release aroma and tuck it beside the orange wheel. Serve immediately.

8

Service note: present as a shareable 24 oz draft cocktail or split into two smaller pours (12 oz each). Provide a straw or stirrer if served over ice.
