Widely regarded as one of the greatest Cognacs, Hennessy has a tradition of producing Cognacs of the highest quality. The VSOP from Hennessy is the epitome of balance and class and is a blend of 60 different eaux-de-vie aged up to 15 years.

Measure 2 oz of Hennessy V.S.O.P with a jigger or measuring tool. Standard pour for a neat serve or classic short cocktail-style pour.

If you prefer the spirit slightly opened, add 5 ml of still water to the measured cognac and gently stir once to integrate. This helps release aromatics without overly diluting flavor.

Optional dilution

Warm the snifter in your hands for a few seconds, pour the measured cognac into the glass, swirl gently to coat the bowl, then sniff lightly and sip slowly to appreciate the balance of fruit, toasted oak, and spice.

Serve neat (snifter)

Place a single large ice cube in a rocks glass, pour the measured cognac over the ice. Allow to sit 30–60 seconds for the surface to cool and for very slight dilution to soften the palate, then taste.

Serve on the rocks (rocks glass)

Express the oils of an orange twist over the glass by holding the peel with the outer skin facing down and giving it a quick snap toward the drink; rub the twist on the rim if desired and drop it into the glass.

Garnish

Sip slowly. Note the nose of candied citrus, dried fruit and gentle spice, mid-palate of toasted oak and vanilla, and a long, warm finish. If tasting multiple spirits, cleanse the palate with a small sip of water between pours.
