Method
Shrimp Ceviche
Prepare Shrimp
In a bowl, combine the shrimp with lime juice, salt, and black pepper. Toss to coat and let marinate for 15-20 minutes until the shrimp turns opaque.
Mix Ingredients
Add the chopped red onion, diced tomato, and cilantro to the shrimp mixture. Stir well to combine.
Fish Ceviche
Prepare Fish
In a bowl, mix the diced fish with lime juice, salt, and black pepper. Let it marinate for 15-20 minutes until the fish is opaque.
Mix Ingredients
Incorporate the chopped red onion, diced cucumber, and cilantro into the fish mixture. Mix gently to combine.
Mushroom Ceviche
Mix Ingredients
Add the chopped red onion, diced bell pepper, and cilantro to the mushrooms. Stir to combine all ingredients.
Fried Plantains
Fry Plantains
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the sliced plantains in batches and fry until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Drain Plantains
Remove the fried plantains and drain on paper towels. Season with salt to taste.
