Tuna Keftedes

Method

Preparation

1

Prepare the Tuna Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine the canned tuna (drained), breadcrumbs, finely chopped red onion, chopped parsley, egg, lemon zest, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.

2

Form the Keftedes

Using your hands, shape the tuna mixture into small patties or balls, about 1-2 inches in diameter.

3

Cook the Keftedes

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the tuna keftedes in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

4

Serve

Remove the keftedes from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil. Serve warm with tzatziki sauce and lemon wedges.
