Aromatics & Finish
Prepare Glass & Citrus
1. Chill and juice
Chill a tall glass in the refrigerator or freezer for 5–10 minutes if desired. While the glass chills, roll a lime and a lemon on the counter with the palm of your hand to release oils, then juice enough to yield about 2 tablespoons lime juice and 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Measure and keep juices chilled.
2. If using simple syrup from the fridge, stir it briefly so it pours easily. Have garnishes (lime wheel and optional lemon zest strip) ready.
Build the Drink
3. Fill the chilled glass with about 1 cup of ice.
4. Pour the 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice and 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice over the ice.
5. Add 2 teaspoons chilled simple syrup to the glass. If you prefer a sweeter Sprite-style drink, increase to 1 tablespoon (adjust to taste).
6. Pour in 2 cups chilled club soda and 1 cup chilled sparkling water. Pour gently to preserve carbonation; stir once gently with a bar spoon to combine — 2–3 slow turns.
7. Taste and adjust: if you want it sweeter, add an extra 1/2–1 teaspoon simple syrup and stir gently; for a brighter citrus punch, add 1/2 teaspoon more lime juice.
Finish & Serve
8. Express a strip of lemon zest over the drink (optional) to release oils, then drop it in or discard according to preference.
9. Garnish the rim with a lime wheel or wedge. Serve immediately while fizzy.
