Glass + Garnish

Method

Glass + Garnish

1

Prepare rim

Pour Old Bay seasoning and kosher salt onto a small shallow plate and mix. Run the lemon wedge around the outer rim of a highball or pint glass to moisten. Dip the rim into the Old Bay-salt mixture and rotate so it adheres evenly. Set glass aside.

2

Prepare garnishes: wash and trim the celery stalk. Optionally, chill and skewer a cooked shrimp for an extra savory garnish. Cut an additional lemon wedge for serving.

Cocktail

3

Combine ingredients

Fill a cocktail shaker or mixing glass halfway with ice. Add vodka, spicy Bloody Mary mix, prepared horseradish, fresh lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and freshly ground black pepper.

4

Mix

Secure the shaker lid and roll or shake briefly (5–8 seconds) to chill and slightly aerate the drink. If you prefer a less cloudy cocktail, stir with a bar spoon for about 10 seconds instead of shaking.

5

Serve

Fill the prepared rimmed glass with fresh ice. Strain the mixed Bloody Mary into the glass. Taste and adjust seasoning: add another 1/2 tsp horseradish for more bite, an extra dash of hot sauce for heat, or a squeeze of lemon for brightness.

6

Garnish and finish

Garnish with the celery stalk placed in the glass and the lemon wedge on the rim. Add the optional shrimp or other savory garnish if using. Serve with a straw if desired.
