Method
Cocktail
Prepare glass
Fill a copper mule mug (or highball glass) with crushed ice or ice cubes to chill while you assemble the cocktail.
Build and mix
Discard any excess meltwater from the glass so it stays cold. In a cocktail shaker filled with a small handful of ice, combine vodka (2 oz), sour apple pucker (1 oz), Midori (1/2 oz), fresh lime juice (1/2 oz), and 2 dashes of orange bitters. Shake vigorously for 8–10 seconds until well chilled and slightly diluted.
Strain and top
Strain the shaken mixture into the prepared mug over fresh ice (or leave crushed ice). Top with 4 oz chilled ginger beer. Gently fold once with a bar spoon to integrate the ginger beer without losing all carbonation.
Garnish & Serve
Express a lime wheel over the drink by squeezing it briefly above the surface to release oils, then drop it into the mug. Add a thin apple slice or fan on the rim or floated on top. Optionally add a second dash of orange bitters on the foam/top for an aromatic lift. Serve immediately with a straw or stirring spoon.
