Prepare glass

Fill a large wine glass generously with ice (about 1 cup). Using plenty of ice chills the glass and slows dilution.

Add Aperol

Pour 2 oz chilled Aperol over the ice.

Add Prosecco

Slowly pour 3 oz chilled Prosecco into the glass. Pouring slowly helps preserve the bubbles and layers the drink.

Top with soda

Add 1 oz chilled soda water on top to brighten the cocktail. Adjust soda slightly to taste (0.5–1.5 oz).

Garnish and serve

Gently stir once or twice with a bar spoon to combine without losing effervescence. Garnish with 1 fresh orange slice on the rim or floated in the glass. Serve immediately.
