Bottled Water

Method

Bottled Water

1

Chilled, served in bottle

Confirm the bottle is sealed and within its best-by date. If bottle is at desired drinking temperature, remove cap by twisting counterclockwise until fully open. Hold bottle upright and pour directly into mouth or sip from the bottle. Replace cap to reseal if not finished.

2

Chilled, poured into glass

If you prefer your water in a glass, wash the glass or reusable cup with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly. If using ice, add the ice cubes to the glass. Twist and remove the bottle cap, then pour water into the glass, leaving some room at the top. Optionally squeeze the lemon or lime wedge over the water and drop it in for light flavoring. Serve immediately.

3

Room temperature, from bottle

If the bottle is at room temperature and you prefer not chilled water, simply remove the cap and drink directly or pour into a clean glass. Reseal the bottle with the cap after drinking to keep water clean for later.

4

Storage after opening

After opening, reseal the bottle tightly. Store opened bottled water in the refrigerator and consume within 48–72 hours for best freshness, or follow the manufacturer's guidance printed on the label.

5

Disposal and recycling: When finished, replace the cap and recycle the empty plastic bottle according to local recycling guidelines. If using a reusable glass, wash it with warm soapy water and air dry.
