Method

Cocktail

1

Chill glass

Place a large wine glass or stemless glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice water to chill while preparing ingredients.

2

Add ice

Fill the chilled glass about three-quarters full with fresh ice (use approximately the 1 cup of ice listed).

3

Pour limoncello

Measure and pour 3 oz limoncello over the ice.

4

Add lemon juice

Add 0.5 oz (about 1/2 oz) of fresh lemon juice to brighten the drink. This balances the sweetness of the limoncello.

5

Top with prosecco and soda

Slowly pour 3 oz chilled prosecco into the glass, then top with 1.5 oz chilled club soda or sparkling water. Pour gently to preserve bubbles and encourage a pretty layered effect.

6

Light stir

Gently stir once or twice with a bar spoon to integrate ingredients without flattening the prosecco.

Garnish & Serve

7

Garnish the rim or float a lemon wheel or a twisted strip of lemon peel on top. Optionally slap a mint sprig between your palms to release aroma and tuck it into the glass beside the lemon.

8

Serve immediately while effervescent. For multiple servings, multiply ingredients and combine limoncello and lemon juice in a pitcher, chill, then add prosecco and soda just before serving to retain bubbles.
