Cocktail
Method
Cocktail
Prepare glass
Select a large wine glass or stemmed goblet. Add ice to fill about two-thirds of the glass (approximately 1 cup).
Measure amaretto and grapefruit
Pour 1 oz amaretto over the ice, then add 1 oz freshly squeezed pink grapefruit juice. If you prefer a slightly sweeter spritz, add 0.25 oz simple syrup now.
Add prosecco
Slowly pour 3 oz chilled prosecco into the glass. Pouring slowly helps preserve carbonation and creates a gentle mixing action above the amaretto and grapefruit.
Top with soda
Finish by adding 1 oz chilled soda water to lift and lighten the cocktail. Give the drink one gentle stir (1–2 turns) with a bar spoon to integrate ingredients without flattening the bubbles.
Garnish and serve
Garnish with a grapefruit wheel or a thin grapefruit twist on the rim. Serve immediately while chilled and effervescent.
Notes
For a slightly drier spritz, reduce simple syrup or omit. Use good-quality prosecco for best results. Adjust grapefruit juice quantity up to 1.5 oz if you want more citrus brightness, increasing soda slightly to maintain balance.
