Shots & Garnishes
Method
Prepare and Serve
Choose a liqueur
Decide which liqueur you want to add as a shot: Frangelico (hazelnut), Amaretto (almond-like), or Sambuca (anise/licorice). Only one shot is required unless you want multiple different shots.
Chill (optional)
If you prefer a cold shot, place the chosen bottle in the refrigerator for 30–60 minutes or pour the liqueur into a shaker with ice and stir briefly, then strain into the shot glass.
Garnish Sambuca (optional)
If you selected Sambuca and want a classic presentation, float 3 coffee beans on the surface of the shot glass (representing health, happiness, and prosperity). For a flaming sambuca (advanced/optional), carefully light the surface briefly, then extinguish before drinking — do not attempt if inexperienced.
Serve
Serve immediately. If serving multiple guests, prepare each shot individually to ensure proper presentation and temperature.
Safety note
Drink responsibly. If you used the flaming sambuca technique, ensure flames are fully out and the glass is cool before drinking. Keep away from children and flammable materials.
