In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form the mixture into two burger patties.

Prepare the BBQ Sauce

Spread some BBQ sauce on the bottom half of the burger buns. Place the cheesy patty on top, add more BBQ sauce, and then top with onion rings. Place the top half of the bun on.

Assemble the Burger

Serve the Kansas City burger with extra BBQ sauce on the side, if desired.
