Cooking Instructions
Prepare the Ham
Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Place the ham in a large roasting pan, cut side down.
Make the Glaze
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, ground cloves, ground black pepper, and apple cider vinegar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is well combined.
Glaze the Ham
Brush the glaze generously over the ham, making sure to get it into the scored sections. Reserve some glaze for basting.
Bake the Ham
Cover the ham loosely with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 15-18 minutes per pound. Baste the ham with the reserved glaze every 30 minutes.
Finish and Serve
Remove the foil for the last 30 minutes of cooking to allow the glaze to caramelize. Once the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C), remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing.
