Steak and Marinade

Method

Preparation and Cooking

1

Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, combine olive oil, soy sauce, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well combined. Place the flat iron steak in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for more flavor.

2

Prepare the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, add a little olive oil to the pan.

3

Cook the Steak

Remove the steak from the marinade and let excess marinade drip off. Place the steak on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until the desired doneness is reached.

4

Rest the Steak

Once cooked, remove the steak from the heat and let it rest for about 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute.

5

Slice and Serve

Slice the steak against the grain and serve immediately. Enjoy with your favorite sides!
